The awesomest thing your adventurous 7-11 year old has ever done—driving a real car on a real track!
If your child is between the ages of 7 and 11 and can reach the pedals, Race Lab offers a safe and exciting opportunity for them to drive a real car!
They’ll get behind the wheel of either their parent's car or an automatic Subaru Impreza, accompanied by one of our amazing instructors who are trained to work with kids. And don't worry, we don't allow them to go fast ;)
Learning to drive at a young age is beneficial, as it helps instill the essential skills needed for future driving on open roads. We teach correct techniques from the start, focusing on control, attention, and good habits.
Parents are welcome to join in and sit in the back seat if they wish.
Fun fact: our youngest driver was just 7 years old!
Your driving time slot will be assigned after purchase. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferred time, but please note that early bookings get priority. The event runs from 9 AM to 7 PM.
You’re welcome to join us for the entire day and enjoy the atmosphere, but you’ll be on the track only during your allocated slot.

On the day of the event, your child will have the exciting opportunity to drive a real car under the careful supervision and guidance of one of our instructors.
The first step will be adjusting the seating position to ensure the driver’s safety, with our instructor assisting your child and adding seat padding if needed so they can comfortably reach the controls. A helmet will also be provided.
Next, the instructor will introduce your child to the basic car controls, explaining where they are and how to use them.
To start, your child will drive at a very slow pace in a designated area near the track (but not on the track just yet) to get familiar with operating the vehicle. They will learn how to control the throttle, brake, and properly hold and turn the steering wheel. We emphasize the hand-over-hand steering technique for everyone who drives with us, as it is the most effective method. Introducing this to a child early on helps develop the correct muscle memory.
Once the instructor is confident that your child is becoming comfortable with the controls, they will then progress to our closed dirt track, where they will be the only car, free from distractions. After a couple laps, depending on how comfortable your child is, the instructor can introduce additional information such as proper use of vision.
This unique opportunity to learn and practice in a real car, yet in a safe and controlled environment, is not only thrilling but also the educated way to start their journey toward becoming a responsible and skilled driver in the future.
